Yoga for Children (Ages 4–12)
Yoga is such a beautiful way for children to move, play, and learn about themselves. Through simple postures, breathing, and relaxation, kids can build strength, balance, focus, and confidence—all while having fun in a safe and supportive space.
As a mum to a child with special needs, I’ve seen first-hand how powerful yoga can be for children. It helps with self-regulation, calming busy minds, boosting self-esteem, improving concentration, and even supporting better sleep. Every child is different, and my classes are designed to celebrate that—whether your child is full of energy, a little shy, or somewhere in between.
My children’s yoga classes are SEN-friendly. I create a welcoming environment where all children feel safe, included, and supported, with plenty of space for them to explore yoga at their own pace.
In my sessions, children are encouraged to:
-
Explore movement in a fun and creative way
-
Build confidence, self-esteem, and body awareness
-
Develop focus and concentration in a supportive setting
-
Learn calming tools they can use in everyday life
-
Relax deeply, which can support improved sleep and wellbeing
Classes are playful, engaging, and age-appropriate, with lots of opportunities for imagination and creativity. Most importantly, they’re about helping children feel good about themselves—inside and out.
